Trevor Sinclair Career So Far, From Player To Manager To Football Pundit

Born on March 2, 1973, in Dulwich, England, he grew up in Manchester. He became the club's youngest player when he made his Blackpool debut in 1989. He scored 15 goals in 112 league games with the Seasiders before moving to Queen Park Rangers.

Premier League Debut With Queen Park Rangers

1993 saw the transfer of Trevor to Queens Park Rangers (QPR) for a record fee of £600,000, the highest sum ever paid to Blackpool for a player. He played 168 times in the league and scored 16 goals while spending five years with QPR.

Moreover, Sinclair was voted the Premier League Player of the Month for October 1995, but it wasn't enough to avoid QPR from being thrown out of the league that season.

Joined Manchester City in 2003

After almost five seasons at West Ham, Sinclair was bought by Manchester City in 2003. But it was before the Arab money, so Manchester City was no better than an average mid-table club back in that era.

Like how he played for England's national team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, he initiated his career with Manchester City, playing on the left flank. However, once Shaun Wright-Phillips left, Sinclair was allowed to play on the right flank, which was his preferred position. After a poor run of form, he was released by the club in 2007.

Post Playing Career, Coach And Pundit

Sinclair served as Lancaster City's assistant manager during his brief coaching career. He entered the game as a substitute in the second half of a 3-1 league loss against Clitheroe on August 25, 2014. Later ventured into media as a football pundit and worked for BBC and Talksport.
